About Teresa Bouza and Leonid Pekelis

Teresa Bouza. I have been a correspondent in the US for the last 12 years and a journalist for almost two decades. I am currently a Knight Fellow at Stanford University, a program that fosters journalism innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership. I am working with Leonid Pekelis and Sudheendra Hangal on a handbook about data mining and in developing tools to better navigate large text documents. ***Leonid Pekelis. I am working towards my PhD degree in Statistics from Stanford University. I hold Bachelors degrees in Economics and Mathematics from Stanford. I hope my proficiency with the statistical language, R, other programming languages, and methods of statistical learning can be used to make data more accessible to anyone with the enthusiasm, creativity and perseverance to learn and create.
